Mission of Music of Bakersfield is bringing young volunteers and senior citizens through music.

 
 

Brookdale Riverwalk

Music of Bakersfield volunteers have been performing at Brookdale Riverwalk since March of 2016.  We initially started performing at Memory Care unit and later added Assistant Living and Independent Living units.

Located in a quiet neighborhood of Bakersfield, California, Brookdale Riverwalk is a senior living community with well-appointed accommodations, restaurant-style dining and opportunities to engage your interests, passion and purpose. The campus includes walking paths through landscaped grounds with views of the Kern River. 


The Village at Seven Oaks

Music of Bakersfield volunteers have been performing at The Vilaage at Seven Oaks since June 2017.

The Village at Seven Oaks offers many options with excellent services tailored to meet the needs of those who call our community home. Residents are able to enjoy elegant restaurant-style dining, a wellness and fitness center, library, theater, computer lounge, arts and crafts room, and beauty/barber salon.

Rosewood Retirement Community

Music of Bakersfield volunteers have been performing at Rosewood since October of 2017.

As Bakersfield's only nonprofit life plan community, Rosewood has earned a reputation as a trusted neighbor and resource to area seniors.


Alzheimer's Disease Association of Kern County

Music of Bakersfield volunteers have been performing at Alzheimer's Disease Association of Kern County since December of 2017.

Their mission is to improve the lives of Kern County residents affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders.


Mercy Hospital Downtown - Art and Spirituality Center

Working with Art and Spirituality Center, Music of Bakersfield volunteers will performing at Mercy Hospital Downtown starting December of 2017.

Located at Mercy Hospital Downtown, the Art and Spirituality Center is home to programs that support the idea that the process of experiencing art promotes health and well-being of patients by aiding in their physical, mental and emotional recovery, including relieving anxiety and decreasing the perception of pain.
